Generations of Americans have been affected somehow or other by the show M*A*S*H*, and I certainly include myself among them. A hilarious sitcom, and a poignant medical-military drama, who didn't choke up at the end of the last episode, which, for quite a while, was the most-watched event in television history? I know I did.

And who wasn't deeply inspired by the leadership of Colonel Sherman Potter, played by Harry Morgan? I know I was. Well, today, Pearl Harbor Day, Harry Morgan has died, and what a fitting day for it, too.
